The Department of Plant Biology of Rome(DPB) University Sapienza is part of the Faculty of Science Mathematic , Physics and Natural Science(FSMPN) . The FSMPN is organised in ten Departments with more than 600 Researchers on the permanent staff. The DPB counts 44 Researchers in the permanent staff and many PhD, MS, BD students and has a strong vocation on plant ecology, plant physiology, agricultural and food research.
In the present project the laboratory of Plant Pathology is the focal point for his large experience in many international and  EC projects since 1983 concerning the factors related to different mycotoxin biosynthesis and the development of novel  strategies for the controlling and detecting different mycotoxins.
