INC International Nut and Dried Fruit Council Foundation

The International Nut and Dried Fruit Council Foundation (INC), is the global source of information on nuts and dried fruits for Health, Nutrition, Statistics, Food Safety, Government Standards and Government Regulations Regarding Trade Barriers and Trade Quality Standards.
The INC involves over 500 companies form nearly 50 countries, among major growers, processors and packers of almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, hazelnuts, macadamias, pecans, pine nuts, pistachios, walnuts, peanuts, dates, dried apricots, dried figs, prunes, raisins, sultanas and currants.  The main activities of the Foundation are: preparing, sponsoring, financing and promoting nutritional and scientific studies and the subsequent diffusion by means of publications and/or holding international congresses. With over 27 years of experience in the nut and dried fruit industry, the INC organizes the annual World Nut and Dried Fruit Congress which has an average participation of 700 attendees from nearly 50 countries.
The INC gathers the most prestigious scientists and industry experts in the Scientific & Government Affairs Committee, which deals with issues regarding science and research (mycotoxins, aflatoxins, ochratoxins, and acrylamide) and monitors governmental bodies and activities affecting the nut and dried fruit industry (EU, WHO, UNECE, CODEX, USDA, et al.).
The Cracker magazine is the official voice of the INC. It is published three times a year with a circulation of some 2,500 copies. The magazine provides a global network of information on trade issues, government regulations, promotional ideas for increasing consumption, breaking news and production and trade statistics. The INC also releases a monthly e-Newsletter and brochures about the health benefits of nuts and dried fruit consumption. The INC Database provides information on scientific research, regulatory and scientific issues, and worldwide statistics on production, trade and consumption of nuts and dried fruit. Currently, the online Database contains more than 420 scientific references, 250 legislative documents, and over 15,000 statistical data.
