BF Bio-Ferm

Bio-ferm, Biotechnologische Entwicklung Und Produktion Gmbh, was founded in late  2004 as a start-up company of the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, Vienna. Bio-ferm deals with the development, registration and distributions of biological plant protection products on a microbial basis. Active substance of the already registered BCAs are yeast like fungi, strains of the species Aureobasuidium pullulans. The eco-friendly high-tech products where employed successfully against various fungal and bacterial diseases especially in fruit and grape wine growing (“Botector” against grey mold on grapes, “Blossom Proetct” against fire blight and “Boni Protect” against storage diseases on pome fruits). Bio-ferm is now working on several international markets within and beside EU. In product development the company tries to remain true to its principal: “Plant protection by natural means”.
