UDL Universidad de Lleida

esThe University of Lleida (UdL) is a public institution with an approximate number of 9,650 students and 750 teachers. The UdL is made up of seven faculties and schools including the Higher Technical School of Agrarian Engineering (ETSEA).
The UdL is a member of the Agency for Quality in the Catalan university system, which independently conducts periodical evaluations of university degrees and services. On the other hand, the UdL has been positively assessed within the framework of the European Universities Assessment Programme launched by the European Universities Assembly (EUA).
The Food Technology Department (FTD) is aimed at develop and implement research projects to improve the quality and safety of agro-food production. Research groups are devoted to specific research lines such as antioxidants, nutrition and health, new technologies of processing of vegetable products, quality and safety of postharvest fruit and food mycology. Regarding food mycology, the FTD has a long tradition and renowned expertise in the mycotoxin and toxigenic fungi field.
