The Workshop on
“Mycotoxins in ASEAN Countries and Post-Harvest Control Measures” will take place in
Bangkok (Thailand), from the
14th to the 16th of March 2016.
This event is organized, under the umbrella of
SEA-EU-NET II project funded by the European Commission
FP7.
SEA-EU-NET II project is a four-year initiative aimed to assist and encourage research cooperation between Southeast Asia and Europe as well as related policy dialogue. SEA-EU-NET II builds upon and leverages strong European - Southeast Asian science and technology (S&T) relationships, developed through past support and coordination actions, deepening engagement and building momentum in S&T cooperation focuses on three societal challenges:
1) health; 2) food security and safety; and 3) water management.
The workshop is supposed to offer insight into the current situation of mycotoxin contamination in Southeast Asia and to provide knowledge on various strategies to prevent and treat mycotoxin contamination in order to assist food companies to ensure safety products. Furthermore, the event will offer the possibility to discuss future cooperation between participants from both Southeast Asia and Europe on an institutional or project level.
